Engineers Any Pharmaceutical Isolator tips?

Hi Guys,

I have read the USS and you thread from Reddit, and a few threads on here regarding PI's and i cant seem to find them

  • i have jumped so many light years and most of the systems are no longer in Outbreak
  • even if they are its usually some minor faction that has so little influence
  • ive tried flying around the sun
  • around outposts that Outbreak factions control
  • in shipping lanes
  • in deep space
  • not only is it super rare to see High Grade Emissions, but when i do, no PI's
  • im spending countless hours flying around in circles feeling like a tool and having no idea if im in the correct system or spot

Any tips you guys have on trying to find these things? im hanging to try out DD G5's on my vette but these        s are proving very hard to find. i haven't started on the cadmium yet...

You can filter the map (4th tab, select Map View) then under filters there is a drop down box, select 'State' then un-select all that aren't outbreak. I find that high grade emissions are more (or were last i went looking for them) likely to spawn a good distance from anything, so supercruise away from the star until you get to 100c then slow down and wait.

When you filter the map to only show outbreak, also filter it by population so that it only shows moderately to highly populated systems. These will generally have an earth like in them, turn on the orbit lines (if they're not already) and fly slowly in the orbit of the earth like. You're more likely to find a high grade emissions USS there. The good thing is once you find them, you'll find lots.

That's what worked for me a few days ago.

Thanks for the replies guys,

What do you mean filter? are we on the Galaxy map?

Maybe i missed that bit where you have to select State first then you see the options for Outbreak etc, i couldnt find State last night

Only things like gov type, alignment (fed imp etc) but no state

I found cruising at 5000 - 6000 LS above/below the system orbital plane worked for me although this was a few updates ago, also Outbreak states can disappear overnight so you need to check for them on the gal map just before you start searching.
