Newcomer / Intro Any plans for a Storage Locker?

I was wondering if there are any plans for a storage locker? It is very tough when you are trying to mine a lot of material in your haler, T7 or T9 then try to change out to a combat ship to do some combat. You are forced to sell off everything you have to make room which is a problem if you do not want to sell the items. Does Frontier have any plans to allow players to store items so they do not run into this issue?

Unfortunately, not only are Fdev not planning this feature, they seem to be actively against the idea.
Balance reasons such as market manipulation are usually cited.
So don't hold your breath.

Well, there's a storage locker - sort of. It's called a Fleet Carriern and it lets you store up to 25,000 (IIRC) tons of stuff.

The other option, if you don't want to play to earn 5 Bn Cr. for a carrier, is to get another account.

Rather than buy a carrier, you can mine where carriers are buying stuff, or make friends with a FC owner who you can sell stuff to and then buy back.

If you want one, it's a goal you can set yourself - and it's entirey doable. If you have the time. And the willingness to grind for credits. Plus, you'd probably need another 1bnCR to install the services you want and be comfortable.

Of course, after what @nemolomen says, there's fuelling the blighter. About 700 tons of tritium roughly translates to about 135mCR. A full depot of tritium is 1,000 tons. Spare tritium - and you will probbaly need it - is stored as part of the FC's overall inventory.

And don't get me started on getting fuel from your inventory to your depot :D

All doom and gloom aside, you can - and probably will - get the cash together to get one. And once you do, you won't look back. Probably *

* Note the overuse of "probably" in this post.
