Any point to delivering more than 100 prep?

I don't quite get it.
A few systems I can see have 400+ prep when they only need 100 to be expandable next week.
Is there any use of delivering more other than for personal merit gains?

The system with the most prep gets picked first for expansion, so if a lot of systems are being prepared, you may want to prepare the ones you like most more than the rest.

Not really, no. If a goal is met, it's met. If it gets equally opposed, both actions cancel out. The rest is probably just a lack of intel on the new gameplay or as you've said, personal gain. A-B runs are still the easiest, after all.

EDIT: Oh, prep. Yeah, that specific part, listen to the other guy. Not sure how that one throws down.

You still get credit for them as merits, if I'm not mistaken. Some folks could just be going the easy route and spamming the closest candidates to boost their merit rating.
