That's hilarious - can't believe I missed it. Although I'm surprised at how fruitless his attempts were.

If someone was telling me a story about his obese wife and starving children whilst sitting in a pile of biowaste, I'd definitely drop him some cargo. Almost choked when I read that the hauler stole his biowaste. Good stuff

We used to have beggars in Everquest and in Wow for a while and it quickly got very annoying and rife. The lack of a chat channel may make it actually work in Elite however.

Well - never played WoW or Everquest, but there were plenty of beggars in Eve in some open channels, but I agree - instead of having a script spam your messsage every couple of minutes, you'll have to come up with a good story in ED and address every CMDR individually.
