Any recommended nanite builds to tackle Titans?

As with most special activities I am using a Imperial Cutter, approximately like this with one hardpoint for the Nanite launcher. The two Thermal vents are taking places where some Commanders ignore attempts at staying quiet and put instead more missiles via a Stabiliser, but I love the way they support (gear-)boosting around the Titan.

Without Sirius missiles I suggest Enhanced or Azimuth multi-cannons instead, due to the long reload and poor ammunition of the Enhanced missiles. Similar medium vessels ought to work well also, especially now that Glaives no longer bar their access to the Titan!

I'm using this Krait 2 - https://edsy.org/s/vcm0CX6

Note the torpedo launcher is the Nanite torp, but that's not been added to EDSY yet. It's doing ok considering this wasn't put together for this purpose. It's my old Titan tissue sampling ship but with the Nanite Torpedo replacing an AX MC ...

Thanks. I was wondering if I should take my usual ship (Corvette) and how to equip it. Yet I see most people use AX missilies along with the torpedo launcher. Why not Gauss cannons and the usual? I heard the heart is vulnerable to the usual weapons and figured the usual Guardian weapons should do it?

You can't use any guardian weapons on the titan, because as soon as you enter the system their integrity will degrade leaving them unusable. The nanite torpedo is the only exception because it's been specially manufactured to be resistant to the titan's effects.

Hm, okay, I just tried my first jump to Taranis. I was surprised when I exited supercruise that the actual target was still apparently 70 km far out.On my 2nd attempt I realized the targeting is misleading. Simply head to the big bad cloud where the pulses come from asap.

Yet once I was close enough I saw so many target blips that I could not tell in time what to target and shoot at with the torpedoes. :p

Also—if not in Open, the red lightning strikes can be quite useful for proving their directions to be wrong. Very occasionally a lucky strike while facing correctly can reveal a Titan silhouette, but otherwise you know at least that some direction must contain a lightning-blocking Titan!

Listen carefully! There are eight vents which open only occasionally, where the heat build-up and vents opening is something you can hear very clearly, now at a non-Taranis Titan of course. The vents are on the front face of the Titan—that is, on the same side as the maw—positioned all around its outer edges.

If you can remain cold enough, you should be able to wait close to the Titan but not too close to the maw, and just listen to its heat-venting cycle. Once you know when to look for targets, you should then be able to see those vents emitting yellow and they will have a grey target marker each.
