Do any fellow CMDRs here who know what they're doing with pirating like to help me out here? I'm looking for pirating on players more for the fun of it, so does anyone know good spots as well as some tips?

Best location is at community goals but don't be mean and be reasonable when asking for cargo
Come up with an interesting roleplay and try to make it fun for the people you're playing with. Signal the intent to pirate just before interdicting. Fly something which doesn't scream "ganker".
If you fly an FDL, wordlessly interdict people and then spam an uncreative "yaarr I be talkin' like a pirate" bind you'll end up back here complaining about how no traders stay and play along.
