I've been playing Elite for little over a month and I've really been enjoying it!
Now, I've been tinkering on a basic GalNet reader (for my own personal use) for news to be read out loud thru VoiceAttack and was wondering if you guys knew of a way to retreive specific local system news by any chance.
I was envisioning basically a way to call on local news when entering a system (thru voice prompts) which i feel could lead to finding opportunities more easily (trading and bounty hunting come to mind) and be great for immersion. Local systems would feel more alive!
I know you can get the Galactic news thru FD's rss feed (https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet-rss) or the community website (https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet) or even via twitter (i think) but i dont know if there is a way to access a specific system's news other than in game when docked.
Been thinking of that possibility ever since i've started using EDDI (great VA plugin) which gives you an update on the system you just entered (system's name / controlling faction /allied with / etc...).
You guys have any suggestions/ideas/solutions?
