Newcomer / Intro Any way to select that station or planet again?

Hi all, bit of an embarassing question here ...frequently I will have a destination locked, say a station or planet. On the way I get sidetracked by a beacon or USS so I select that and veer off. Once that is done is there a way to again select my original destination without searching for it again?

I know about next system in route but dont see any option for "go back to previous selection" or similar.

No, nothing like a "next system on route"

But if you select a station or planet from the nav menu on your left panel, the "cursor" will stay on that body/station, unless you move it. So after you are done with the USS all you have to do is look left and pres confirm button (or space, if you use KB) twice.

Just have to target the USS by "target ahead"

Nope, it doesn't keep track of your last targetted system. It's a minor annoyance, though, just bring up the map and find it again.

Actually, the next destination shows up in your nav panel with 2 lines connected up by a couple of dots.

Selecting that allows you to continue on your way

No, that's the next system on the route.
OP was talking about inter-system travel and re-targeting stations and bodies.

There is a way to do it - use the key for "select highest threat," it will default back to your original navigation target because there are no threats in the instance.

This doesn't work if you use the key for "select target ahead" or the contacts panel to select the target, however. it works when cycling through ships using the "next ship" and "previous ship" keys.
