Any way to stream ED to the Gear VR ?

I play ED with a DK2 and love every minute of it. However, I also have a Gear VR and the resolution is quite a bit better. Does anyone know if this can be done ? Can you stream ED gameplay to the Gear VR ?

If you can get it to work with SteamVR then maybe, but I don't know enough to give you a firm yes or no.

'yes' is the answer though it is still an in progress thing, I can't remember, but because gear vr is made in collaboration with Occulus, there has been found ways to trick it to think you are using oculus hardware, and steam vr should work with that?
How, not sure, don't own any myself.

You could use an app on your phone like vr-streamer, intugame vr or trinus but it would be very slow and latent and laggy and generally terrible even if the phone is usb tethered to the pc.

This. You might be able to make it work and get a rough idea of what VR can be, but it'll almost certainly be a mediocre experience you'll not want to use to actually play games

I tried Trinus and the lag is awful -- unplayable really. Well, I guess my DK2 will have to do until I receive that CV1.

This, by the way, is the very definition of a First-World Problem.

I was able to get it to work with StreamTheater on the GearVR via sideload. Basically it uses the nVidia feature of gamestream. Overall it didn't work well though and I just went back to waiting on the Rift.
