Any way to zoom view?

Is there anyway, without using TrackIR, that I can zoom the view? I've been experimenting a lot of a VR-androidphone/heatset setup and text is mostly readably, but there are places where a zoom would greatly facilitate things...

If that's a joke, I dont get it. It would actually work using a TrackIR...

At the moment, I use the android-phones gyroscope to alter view and with the software Im using, it only supports 2 axis...hence no zoom...

I remember that X3 had a module that let you zoom in. It was awesome as you could take a look at distant ships without the fear of being blown up. I always had that on my ship and to be honest I kind of miss such a feature.

There is a section on the forum discussing VR-solutions. I'm using a headset (at the moment a Durovis Dive) together with an android phone (LG Nexus 5) and for streaming video from my PC (i.e. Elite) to my phone I'm using a software called Trinus Gyre. You mean there is a limitation to Z-axis in ED? Cause with TrackIR software you can always set exponential curves to your axis...

We have the '3' button which is the most pointless function of the game allowing you to ZOOM ON THE BLOODY RADAR, .. *calm mode on..* But not ZOOM ANYWHERE ELSE! (Stabs 'calm' button work, work damn you.. **) :D

I wish the no 3 zoom button would work no matter where your head is looking and not a single silly panel.

Can we have a rear camera while we are at it. (like the origonal game i may add.) There is a blank screen between the pilots legs that be cool to have the feed displayed from.
