Can't you just use the galaxy map? I never really read the info it gives so not sure if it tells you the distances from the main star.
Type the station name onto the search box in galaxy map and it will take you to the system
As andyraptor has said, the search is also against station names.
OK. This is excellent. Never knew that the search box will also search for stations / docks name. Will defo try it out!
If you found the system, you can use a tool like http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/# to check some station info.
Use the Lists page and click system. Type in the system name and you get the station information (if someone already created it).
