Any workaround for the bug that aquatic animals don't recognize deep water?

So I have two aquatic animals, the king penguin and the grey seal, and neither of them recognize their deep water area.

I restarted the game but this issue prevails. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or if there's a workaround for this issue?

Seems like the Water isn't deep enough (even though sometimes it seems like the average Depth doesn't show correctly). Test the Depth with a 4m Wall Piece. It should be completely covered in Water

🤔 Looks fine to me if the Water is almost everywhere that deep. Try removing the Water and reverse the Action. If this doesn't help, try if it works to verify the Game Files

Well, I got it yesterday. I've loaded my first franchise ZOO with simple habitat with about 50 African penguins.
I've got no problems with it with any of 15-20 loads. And then I see that every penguin has about 50% welfare. Not 100%.
I've checked and every penguin couldn't recognize deep water which was massive and as I've said - every of 50-70 penguins were swimming freely. I had wide, easy edge/coast for animals to get to water.
I've done one thing - put 1 climbable platform on edge of terrain and water. Game recalculated everything and deep water was again recognized by every penguin.
Hope it helps!
Maybe it will be necessary to repeat it every time you load your ZOO. But it takes 5 seconds to do.

Removing the water and reversing it did the trick! All animals got boxed up and when they got unboxed the correct water depth showed Proper
Thank you so much for your help!

This is the same bug that the climbing space bug. Removing water and undoing, or moving a climbing structure and undo solve them, but it's so annoying. Hope Frontier solves it one day. The issue on the issue tracker was confirmed long ago and some of us sent our game files, but we are still waiting.

I'll remember that for the future! I'm currently talking to frontier about the reindeer eldritch horror bug I've been experiencing so I didn't want to overwhelm them by adding yet another bug to the issues I'm having. Very thankful the forums are so helpful! All my penguins and seals are now proper happy again.

😆 I want to see that Reindeer Bug

:D I want one too.
Did you already try if it helps to verify the Game Files? Is it happening with every Reindeer and do they look like that all the time?
Yes I did that and a clean reinstall of the GPU drivers as suggested by frontier's support team. It happens with all reindeers but only on occasion, when they are moved it happens consistently but sometimes also just randomly like with this one. I think there's an issue with the Reindeer animations somewhere as people on reddit had the same issue as well.

🤔 I was keeping Reindeer regularly since the Arctic Pack was released and I've never had this Problem. Also can't check because I need to find a Way to let Windows 10 work again (maybe the System Drive needs to have more Space than the current one if you use 2 instead of putting the System on the same Drive as all the Files and Software?) and I don't really want to torture myself at the Moment with this because I'm sick since yesterday. But when I feel better again, I'll need to check if the same is happening with Reindeer

It's not always happening, only when certain animations play. They're looking into it.

I experience this bug as well, when sometimes animals don't recognize the same deep water they previously recognized. If you remove and add the water enough times it tends to work.
