Anybody else getting stuck in the jump to speedy space?

nah. It's been fine for me today. And the ways to stop OS are pretty well known by now. Still wish they would fix 'em.
You are being screened in the braben tunnel for signs of botting. The longer the tunnel, the more suspicious they are, and if you encounter the OS then you are definitely a scoundrel.

Well, to be more precise then. When you jump, leave or enter supercruise, you get moved to a new instance. Your client has to communicate that with the server so the server can move you to the instance. If the response from the server for whatever reason takes too long, the client will drop you from the game with an error message. Orange Sidewinder is, iirc, one of the connection issues codes.
Not to mention that if you play in open or PG it might be trying to connect you to some other players computer by peer to peer networking.
