Anybody else not worried?

The previous Elite game: 1995
The current Elite game: 2014

And you're all losing your minds because you have to wait for a big update. Did any of you play any previous space sim series where what you bought was what you got? How did you all survive waiting through the era of sequels rather than patches?

The reactions on this forum about the 2020 update are frankly childlike. Come now.

I'm cool. They've said they're going to release new Stuff(tm) every 3-4 months, and there's a big update coming later. I'm also perfectly fine with them holding their cards close to their chest at this stage.

I dont think its the time that bothers most people. I think its more so Fdev not telling us anything about it. Though the same comment could be applied.

No, I AM worried. I already lost my mind. Really, don't you see the doom? It's at least 9000 millidooms...

Not quite, I'm reading just above 750 millidooms.

Calling people childlike is childlike. Stick that in your infinite regression pipe and smoke it :p

On a serious note, I'm much more worried that we are now in MARCH and yet to get a 3.3.1 bug fix update than I am about anything happening in 2020.

I'm not bothered either way, over 1000 hours of play - the game owes me nothing - if we get new QoL updates and the hinted CG changes that's fine. If I can't play next year for any reason that is fine too, I've had a great time for mere pennies per hour played :)

ED is a great game, but only 1 of the games I play, if it gets a bit 'dry' then taking a break doing something else works. For those who are particularly passionate over this game - I guess I'm a heretic :p

I am worried because in 1995 we had the Turner class ship from Argent Aerodynamics Amalgamated Inc, but it's now 2019 and we still don't have it in Elite Dangerous.

Not worry at all.

Wish we had more details on what they are work on an a more detail plan on what the small updates will contain, I think most of the community would be happy if they focus on bugs fixes and adding new stuff for us to find. I would like to think some of the stuff delayed over the last year will be added to the game, powerplay changes and fixes, ice planets, carriers will all be things that will be worked on by the smaller team.

I hope we will get some more announcements soon

I'm not worried about the game. I love the game as it is and I don't see myself losing interest.
I'm not worried about having to wait until the big update. I will still be playing ED when the big update arrives.
I'm not worried about player retention. There will still be many people playing but some of the players may have changed.
I'm not worried about Frontier's communication. I am happy to wait until Frontier think it's right to tell us more.
I'm not worried about what the next big update or the smaller ones will be. I have been happy with all of the updates so far.
