I'm a complete newb to Elite - I bought the game on Steam on Saturday as it's on sale, played it once and haven't been able to load it since. I saw there were problems with the servers yesterday but they appear to have been resolved. However, I still get a crash when the game is trying to load (I have tried re-installing the game). Just wondering if it is only me - if so I'll raise a support ticket. I hope this isn't common as I'm starting to regret buying it already.

Issues should be resolved for players already, so the best you can do now is open ticket with support. They are usually very helpfull in these cases.
It will get sorted I am sure.
At the sale price Elite is a real bargain - I'd advise you to hang-in there and persevere. (£3.99 for base game is amazingly cheap - £27.99 for the whole shebang is well worth it too.)
