Newcomer / Intro Anybody gone from Viper to Vulture....?

I own a Vulture that is worth about 10 millions, and it's pretty much perfect for me, I wouldn't even know how to spend 30mil on it if I had them. The Vulture is probably the logical step-up for Viper pilots, if you like fighting it's the best you can get for the money, with no competitor coming even close.

The Vulture is a great fighting ship perfectly capable of taking down anything in the right hands. I use 1 class 3 gimballed beam and a class 3 canon, The single beam will take down anything, although Pythons and Anacondas take a lot longer, against the latter 2 the canon comes into its own, when the beam runs out of power I switch to the canon till the lazer is recharged, so Iam costantly dishing out damage.
The weapon load out is personal, I say use what suits your playing style, I like to stay in close to the big ships and battle it out with them.

The Vulture is a step forwards in almost every way. Very good maneuverability, strong shield, insane firepower... The only problem with it is the limited number of hardpoints. Yes, those two may be large hardpoints, but it's still only two...You can't really let your imagination run wild.

I would of thought most people buy a ship and upgrade it over time.
I upgraded mine right away because I had the money but yes, most people will upgrade it over time, and if they want A-rated Vulture, they'll need 20-30 millions... in total... over time :)

Well, as said above, the Vulture is a huge step up. Much slower than a Viper, but far, far more agile as well. Only two hardpoints, but they're big ones and can take down almost anything. It's small, but armoured and shielded enough to go toe to toe with an Anaconda.

That's the funny thing about the Vulture, it doesn't really fit into any typical "stereotype". It's not the small, fast, agile but fragile fighter; and it's not the big, slow, lumbering armoured battleship either. It's a small, slow, agile, heavily armoured gunship. And even then, it doesn't feel like an agile craft from the inside, it sounds like an 18-wheeler doing pilates when it's doing its moves, it's all creaks, groans and shudders.

You can easily make ~2 million an hour bounty hunting in a Vulture, so it doesn't take too long to fully upgrade it. I've switched to an Asp for something new, but it's only until I make my way up to the Fer de Lance, I really want to see what the huge hardpoint is like! :)
