Anybody playing Elite on a projector.

Hi, is anybody playing Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen on a projector and whether your using 3D ?
Love to hear your ideas and thoughts please.
Ive just tried some Anaglyph glasses with Dangerous, and i reckon it looks pretty good, just a pity about the colours.
Ive just ordered Nvidia 3D wireless kit 2 to go with my new Asus vg248qe, anybody using this combo please...

I've used nvidia 3d in the past and frankly, I was not impressed. Yes you get a certain amount of depth information at the cost of image quality. To me, it was not worth the effort though. We're having a 3d projector setup at work and that too isn't terribly amazing for games in general, or elite in particular.

Just plain 2D on a projector, or a big TV screen, makes a lot more fun IMHO.

Tried some red/blue glasses when I first got the PB, amazingly good but, I went back to 2d to learn the ropes. I'll be dragging my projector out and playing in 3D until my DK2 gets here.

that was a 40.000 euro 3d projector. In terms of immersion the Oculus is much better.

getting nvidia3d to run can be a pain too. Thing is, you do get depth info but it's not amazing.

The Bang/Buck ratio is definitely better with that one, yes.
Note however that even the DK2 resolution is not perfect. I can't quite read the distance indicators in supercruise for example. Side panels work fine however, contrary to DK1 where you can't even read those.

As long as you can live with these limitations (or perhaps FD enlarges the small font sizes in oculus mode just a bit), you won't be disappointed.
