I recently signed-on with a faction and tried Powerplay after playing this game (XBOX) for what... three years?
What a mess. This part of the game is confusing. The in-game content (as usual, I must admit) doesn't explain much of anything and the YouTube videos I found don't help either. Beyond getting access to new parts in outfitting.... I have very little understanding of what Powerplay involves or how the mechanics operate.
Other than delivering propaganda... which is VERY wonky by the way... what in the world am I supposed to be doing? Shooting other players and NPCs... but where? Under what conditions? What factions am I looking for? Are there missions to sign-up for?
It almost seems like the educational Powerplay youtube videos are all two years old and I can tell the menu systems have changed since then. I guess youtube content creators aren't willing to waste their time and do a walk-through because they are going to fix it some day?

Now let's not forget that FD are going to revise this feature in the coming months.
I'm not talking about Open-only here. I'm ignoring that right now. But there are other proposals that will, if nothing else, change Powerplay by some margin.

so that is becomes an actual part of elite? that'd be something great indeed!
Right now PP is one of my favourite jokes to use, I can't help but to mock it's lack of content in almost every post about it.
other jokes include; Lack of Thargoid narrative/ supporting content, Hilariously low wing missions that defy math, Multi-crew 'the abandoned failure of overbalancing' and many many more!
