Anybody using X-55 hotas experience squeaking?

I have used my X-55 for months, and it is performing great. However it has begun to squeak, and it is going on my nerves. I have compatible lubricant and all, but gad! I have applied lube Everywhere(tm), and although it has diminished somewhat from before I started my intensive treatment, I cannot seem to find the last place..
Any of you X-55 users with similar problems having better luck, and if so: do you have any hints as to areas I might have overlooked?

I think thats something that happens with every flight stick, especially if they're brand new.

My Thrustmaster was squeaking too, almost drove me insane but after researching about it I learned that everyone has experienced that before, it may go away with time.

with. time. ?
..gad, I am not sure I can wait for that.
I found a youtube video - of course - of a guy fixing his X-55's squeak, but I have lubed all the areas he pointed out and it's still making way too much noise.
The quest for noiseless hotas goes on...

My X52 squeaked terrible after about 2 months of use. I applied WD-40 carefully on the squeaking plastic parts and everything is smooth now without any annoying noise.

Mine sqeaked horribly after about 2hrs of play. Kid you not it was basically un-lubricated.

I ended up pulling the joystick handle apart and lubing the twist. Took several applications before it came good though. Also the base was grinding on the shaft so used some dry lube there to help smooth it over.

Since it settled, I have clocked 500+ hours of play with it without a squeak or issue.

Mine started squeaking and creaking and farting about a week ago, is ~5 months old. I think it's getting worse, too. With the perpetual pew-pew-pew of pulse lasers it drives me absolutely nuts. I'll have to do something about it this weekend.

What did you use as lube, which parts need lubing exactly pretty please? Cheerio!

I don't have any experieance with X-55 but I used this on my X-52. It's teflon based and didn't gunk up like the silicone lubricant I used in the past. I would stay away from using any type of petroleum based product on plastic.

Not sure where you're located, but I found it at my local Home Depot. Think it was like $4 a can there.

I can't remember to well but think mine were squeaking from day one and just played with it ever since.

Mine has also squeaked from day one. Mostly when I apply yaw (must whisper "yaw" in the forums!) but a little on standard pitch and roll too. I've never applied anything to try and reduce it - changing the springs did nothing either.

But what do you expect for your money? Oh I forgot it's a Saitek product :)

Yup, mostly on the pitch axis when pulling back (nose up) as the bottom plate that presses down on the joystick base likes to squeak as it presses against it.

Is dry lubricant a good thing to use there.
