Anyone able to check if this is in game?

Can't answer directly, but even if it was, it wouldn't look like that. Image was taken in infrared and false-coloured to visible. What it would look like with only visible light could be very different.

Not sure (not in game at the moment), but I have visited three runaway stars (those known to have been created by the supernova which caused the formation of Barnard's Loop: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnard's_Loop) and there was absolutely nothing special about them, which was a bit disappointing to say the least. Another area of celestial phenomena where FD could beef things up a bit to make exploration more interesting.
