Anyone else attempting to explore in wings?

Anyone else attempting to explore in wings - and find it broken?

I've been attempting to explore the galaxy with a friend. We usually wing up in order to share comms and keep tabs on where we are. In 2.0, while not perfect, it was possible for the wing members to share scan data in a system. For instance, I would scan planet a and my wingmate planet b. Once complete, both of us would know what both planets were.

With the release of 2.1. there is no sharing of data and worse, if my wingmate enters a system after I do, he cannot scan anything other than the main star. If I am the second person in system, I cannot scan the planets.

Very frustrating.

The 'solution' is to drop the wing.

Is this the 'fix' that Frontier intended with the 2.1 update?

(bug thread has languished 2 weeks with no responses or comments (until today by another commander): https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=256192)

Yes, see the last line of th OP. Not even a token response from QA. Maybe I'm just impatient, but other threads get quicker response than I've seen and it was in the change log as something that was 'fixed.' I would think that as a result it would be an easy thing to say 'working as intended, now' or 'passed on for review.'

This thread is getting no love at all - I used to be able to divide and conquer systems with relative ease when winged up and now it is not even worth the time to wing up. Also, I have noticed that if you and your wingman are out in the SRVs and one of you shoots a rock, the pieces go straight up off the planet for one player while the other player is able to pick up the remnants on the ground. It looks like some things have been broken on the exploration side...would sure like to see them corrected!!!
