Anyone else encounter a bugged Chemical Process Sample mission?

I accepted an "Extract the Chemical Process Sample" mission, went to the settlement, extracted the sample, and left. The mission didn't update to recognize that I had the sample, so I couldn't turn it in.

Just to be sure I didn't somehow fail to pick it up, I returned to the settlement and did the whole mission again. My inventory's Chemical Process Sample count went up by one, but once again, the mission didn't register it, so I still can't turn it in.

Anyone else running into this problem?

I also had another mission waiting, which I intended to do after this one. I wonder if accepting two missions at the same time somehow confused the game.

Edit: I just remembered that my ship wasn't docked at the settlement's landing pad, but was instead parked near the production building that had the sample. I wonder if that could have confused the game.

Are you sure you took the sample from the correct location in the settlement? Some settlement's have more than one sample container so you have to get the sample from the right container. When you look on a settlement terminal the correct container will have one of those mission icon's beside it.

I have never had one of these missions bugged, but that does not mean the one you had is not.

Doesn't matter where your ship is parked.

Are you sure you took the sample from the correct location in the settlement?

I am reasonably sure, because I thought of that possibility as well, and read through every single item at a terminal while I had level 3 access. There were no other sample containers listed at that settlement.

I suppose it's possible that another sample container existed somewhere but wasn't listed in the terminal, but I think that would be a bug, wouldn't it? I doubt this what happened, though, since it was a small settlement with only one building of that kind, and I didn't see any other sample containers in it.

I would say if you looked at everything and only found one sample container on the terminal then there was not anymore in the settlement.
