Anyone else feel like these random missions offered through the chatbox are getting outta hand?

Seriously, every 2 minutes I get a new one, often for the same mission I just denied, even when I have no other missions active. Street hawkers aren't even this pushy @_@ Leave me alone, dammit I don't want to go collect or scan some random thing for a measly 13k!

I don't understand why these aren't more lucrative than those available at stations, not less.

I do find it amusing that I keep getting approached when I'm transporting politicians to see if I want to sell them into slavery instead.

If there was a passenger mission where you had to jettison politicians into the nearest star........... I would start doing passenger missions again.

@OP: "No".

Need a way to take the phone off the hook in this game, not only do I spend my time getting distracted and deleting those messages, but also the redirect messages, you want to pay my how much to double my journey? !

Anything that comes through the "chat box" is mostly ignored except the tell-tales for impending interdictions or actual live messages.

The missions and tip-offs appear to me as remains from the game's past, not really attached to current events.

Shame though, it could me more immersing and less slap stick by changing the dialogue just a bit.

I don't mind getting these, but personally, I'd prefer them and maybe even accept them if they came from people who made sense.

I'm allied to a few factions in my area, and they've never offered me a mission randomly in space or on a planet.

Meanwhile, Joe Random comes up to me and offers missions all the time. Credits mean nothing to me in the context of missions; it's all about who I'm doing them for, and if it's not someone that matters, it's not something I do.
