Anyone else flown an Adder yet?

Really cool cockpit in the Rift..

Unlike the Hauler you sit on the right. Threw me a bit at first - actually feels like flying a bus as you try and get it out the station.

Bought one yesterday, much more maneuverable than I thought, really nice ship. Sitting on the right isn´t as much an issue for me as I thought. Limited Canopy view gives the impression of flying around in a camping van, it´s fun and I´m also fine with that.
As long as you´re docked the cockpit looks cool but I´m really annoyed by he lack of lightning when flying around.

Not being able to see your body and hands in he Rift is a real downer for me. Maybe a "cockpit lights" button would be nice?

Once upgraded with the highest module ratings you can afford, it's actually quite the little beast of a ship - it was great for bounty hunting.

I have a feeling that I'll get an Adder as my second ship when I can afford it - I'm rocking my Cobra, currently, bounty-hunting in the wireframe paintjob, mwuahahaha.

Was surprised how well it handled the Pirates Eagle that interdicted me yesterday. Granted the Pilot flew like a noob/NPC since I could never be beat by an Adder in my own Eagle (equiped for Bounty Hunting). For dogfight the Canopy is really really annoying thou, not beeing able to follow an attacker with my head is reminding me of playing ED on a Monitor, ugh

I'm currently flying one doing a little exploring beyond the frontier of imperial space. It's a good ship but I really don't like the limited field of view ald the fact that I sit on the right... that alone is enough to make me want to go back to my previous ship.

I really love the aesthetic of the ZP ships I've flown so far. It's like they said, "Here. Real leather, and a dashboard -- with cup holders! Relive the terrestrial leisure travel of yesteryear."

Actually, if the interior came in black, it'd remind me of my Nissan Rogue.

Really liking the Adder at the moment.

Initially I found sitting on the right a bit odd because where I sit in RL there's effectively a wall (actually the back of a couch) to my left so having open space to that side in VR felt strange. The Cobra cockpit ties in much closer to my RL setting and so I didn't have this disjunct, I soon got used to it though. The cockpit is surprisingly roomy for what is quite a small ship.

Although the view is quite restrictive I feel this actually adds to the feeling of being there. There's a storage bin just over your head and it's something that you're always aware of. Similarly, although the lack of widows in the roof can feel quite restrictive I really like the side window just on your right, can't put my finger on exactly why though...

One thing I notice is that the pilot's head seems to be set in the wrong place. If I look to the side after resetting my head position my shoulder is about 6 inches behind me. I've started to lean forward when I reset my head position to counteract this. I haven't ticketed it yet as I only really noticed this last night. Anyone else noticed this?

Noticed that yesterday! Cockpit seems buggy to me.
Well I sold it and fly an cobra now but I'm allready contemplating going back to my eagle. The cockpit is just so much cooler!

I thought I was the only one that noticed the wrong camera placement.

The adder is a fine ship, though, the cockpit lighting leaves much to be desired.

Maybe that's why the field of view doesn't bother me, since I am playing on a monitor. Love the ship, I've flown Cobra and Viper in the past but this one feels right. It has limitations, yes, but so far I've been able to get out of the situations where I was outgunned. And Eagles...my Adder eats them for lunch.

I had an adder, fine upgrade to the hauler - a lot more capable should you need to defend yourself.

My problem with it was that I had a mining laser and a burst laser on the small hardpoints, and a pulse laser on the medium one. Admittedly, she was not really built for out and out combat, but if attacked - whilst I could see off Eagles and even Cobra's, they would outrun me and jump out before I could finish them, so no bounties - but kept me alive.

Now flying a MkIII and loving it so far, but perhaps traded in a couple of trips too early and left myself short of funds for any upgrades (and indeed any decent cargo) so working the balance up again so I can upgrade at least the FSD and hardpoints.

yeah, the canopy view is too limited for me.
I'm trading in the Adder for a Hauler this AM after one day of ownership.
.
Its cool in that it really does look like I'm flying a space-camper-van, but the view is very restrictive, and coming form an Eagle I just can't deal.
.
I'm sure the Adder is an awesomely diverse ship, and would be perfectly fine normal play on a monitor where one would probably look around less than when wearing an Oculus, but in an Oculus its like sitting in the back of a cargo container with the door open.
Too claustrophobic for me.
