anyone else having issues with the yellow line showing the safe zone of a star not appearing?

i have had about 10 of them whilst trying to head out to beagle point. i try and point my ship away from the star, but the yellow line doesn't show and i get caught up in it's gravitational field and get damaged

now i may not be the greatest pilot, but i have been to sag a with nothing like this issue (this was before the updates).

anyone else having problems with the yellow safety line not showing?

i've had to head back because of it [mad]

Not very helpful reply, I know, but nope. I'm guessing toggling orbit lines wouldn't make any difference?

Pretty sure that usually happens if you don't have a navigation target selected and/or if you are not moving (zero throttle).

Yeah, I've seen this many times, seems to happen most with reds, yellow/oranges and neutrons.

Use your fuel scoop as a distance gauge (assuming the star is scoopable): If you're scooping at max rate, you're getting dangerously close.

Here is useful tip: If you "hit" a star and are forced out of 'cruise, quickly turn to your "Modules" screen (right side console), and turn off as many systems as possible: Shields, shield boosters, fuel scoop, etc... Everything but powerplant, distributor, thrusters, FSD and O₂.

This will keep you from overheating when you jump away from the star.

It used to be a consistent glitch. Might report it, just in case. Try to reproduce it, and provide a detailed description of what you were trying to do, what you did do and what happened.

Until then, try to spot the corona...it will be that bright haze coming off the star. There is usually a distinct terminus for the corona...looking at it from up close you will see bright haziness following by a distinct cut to the blackness.

Aim for the non-hazy area and you should be okay (YMMV)

I found this only happens in systems I haven't visited before and as soon as it pops up with new obj disco'd the line pops up
