Anyone else notice mouse pointer not going away?

I use a HOTAS for flying, but mouse and keyboard to navigate through menus.
Normally the mouse pointer appears after starting the starport menu and disappears after launch.

However lately I notice that the mouse pointer stays even after launch, only after moving the mouse a bit it disappears again.

Anyone else have similar problems? I haven't yet made a bug report, because maybe the problem is on my end (mouse settings in windows or similar).

I encountered the same thing.

I mostly play with fullscreen window borderless, and assumed it was an issue on my end because I pop over to the other monitor so much.

It's been this way as long as I can remember.

After using the mouse in the galaxy or system maps, it will remain onscreen when returning to the cockpit, then disappear when the mouse is moved a bit.

I can't log in now to check, but it sounds like it's still the same.

I've only started getting this after I changed from fullscreen to Borderless windowed fullscreen to better support my dual screen use

Or, you can always move the cursor the side of the screen. Not a biggie, but small thing can be incredibly annoying too.

Forever. Been here since the beginning. Some things aren't going to go away, just have to be accepted. Seems the amount of work it would require to fix it isn't reasonable to prodiction values, or it wouldn't be here after all these years. That's a good call though, I'm fairly certain. Should fix a million other things first, to be sure.

I might be alone in this, but I would like them to enhance this so that I can use the mouse, keyboard, and game pad all at the same time. I would love Ken to be able to actually click on things I the UI instead of having to use the wasd key to move around menus.

-- FIX --

Go into options, graphics, and change the mouse cursor to 'in-game panel based'.

Sorted the issue for me.

-- FIX --

This worked for me. Previously my cursor was at the default of "OS Cursor".

The description says the OS Cursor is most responsive, but so far I haven't noticed a difference in performance, only a more well-behaved cursor.

Thanks for the tip!

Nope, not forever. Bug or possible permanent change (?) popped up in 2.3 or 2.4. But it's recent'ish.
