Engineers Anyone else noticed lower fps on planets

Since the release of 2.1 I have experienced much lower fps on planet surfaces. During beta the fps were up quite a bit due to Frontiers optimization, but since 2.1 has gone live I'm getting much lower fps than I did in 2.0,to the point where I've had to turn my graphics settings down to make it playable. In normal space SC etc fps are fine.
Has anyone else had this trouble?

Thank for the reply. I'm running an HD5970,latest drivers etc. I was a beta tester and noticed much better fps etc all through beta, but since 2.1 has gone live I'm down to 15-20 fps planetside with stuttering. I was getting 40-50 fps during beta. I used to get avg 35 fps in 2.0. I'm mystified and the thought of having to play in med quality doesn't make me smile :(

Seems like it's just me then. It's got me scratching my head as to what has changed since beta 6 and why it's only me :( I still get better performance elsewhere, just crappy on planet surfaces.

I have noticed overall frame rate improvement, except now the lighting effects from stars has started making things chug while on a planet surface. All good until I look at the sun enough to get some of the lighting effects. Never had that specific problem before

Nope, definite increase in FPS for me, the only time I've seen it below 30 now was around the Dweller's base where my system is obviously struggling with two landable planets so close together, and even then I am still getting more fps that I used to with increased settings.

I did not see any improvement in performance too. I do have a low-end laptop but was getting 60 in space and 30 in stations. Planets I would get 30 and 20 if I looked to the ground. Now it is around 20+ all the time. Didn't test enough though.

Well it seems my problem has magically fixed itself :) Now getting decent frame rates on planets with settings turned back up. Thanks for your input CMDRS [up]
