Anyone else on the verge of leaving if GamesCom announcement is a...

Sorry OP, definitely not thinking of quitting no matter what, I love this game in it's current itteration. If Frontier announces a paid expansion I will gladly pay top dollar for it. ED cost the price of a normal triple A title, of which I am usually happy if I can get 60+ hours out of. I have played 256 hours according to steam, and that doesn't count everything before I had the steam version. In total I've already probably played close to 400 hours of this game, and there is no end in sight. So I will definitely buy whatever they're selling, but I have a feeling this isn't going to be a paid expansion anyway.

Michael Brookes said in one of the "Ask the Devs" threads that the Gamescon announcement would not be walking around the ship or anything else.

when the space side of the universe is so under-developed and (dare I say it?) lifeless as it is?

A wee bit of mining over the edge of populated space for me at the moment, hardened Asp.

Metals cargo draws in interesting NPC in lawless space between mining areas eg. dropship wings + grouped imp couriers, plus some nice juicy imp clippers (I'll still be running run from Anaconda pairs, on sight, until shield upgrade!). Missions fairly basic yes, treated as bonus really, but getting in with the local faction means more judicious choice, over and above the highest bidder.

I like it, open play, making money after costs with 32t capacity mining now, just ...
(adding; Using send {click} autohotkey script so don't have to mining laser, holds the mouse button)

Actual mining is coffee time while my little drones gather in precious chunks. Minimum accept (for the +100Ly return leg + with detailed scans) is indite or silver .. A blast basically, esp. the courier back, through the blockades.

It maybe be a sneak peek of PL or it maybe something totally different. We don't know. What we do know is that when PL is announced FD need a big sack to carry all the money they will receive from hungry explores.
