Anyone else seeing their mouse cursor missing from Galactic Map view

Hi Folks,

I've noticed lately that my mouse cursor is no longer appearing in the galactic map view. When it first started happening, restarting the game would fix it but now that doesn't work. The mouse control works fine still, I can zoom and rotate the map but I can't operate any of the side panels so to travel any distance, I have to quit the game, restart in pancake mode and travel to the destination ( mouse cursor appears normally in galactic map view ) and then reload the game in VR... which is nonsense. However I can't figure out why the mouse cursor will only show for the map, in pancake mode.

The mouse cursor appears normally in every other aspect of the game, it's just the galactic map view, in VR, where it's missing. I can't for the life of me figure out what I've done wrong. Has anyone had similar?

Just a thought. Are you playing in the current beta by any chance ?
If so it may be a beta bug and would be worth reporting.

Other than that the only other thing I can think of is that you have to move the mouse cursor into the game screen on your monitor and click.
I have to do that with my Steam version (but strangely not with my FD version), otherwise neither my mouse or HOTAS works in game.
Sounds different to your problem but only thing I can think of.

Hi, no I've decided not to burn my billions on FDev carrier tweaks - I'll leave that to others :D

I tried the Alt-Tabbing in and out but it didn't work, however I have now got to the bottom of it and it's a bit weird

Sometimes, for no obvious reason, when I launch the galactic map or system map in VR, the viewing plane will be about 30% closer to me than is usually the case. Also, the zoom function had stopped working so I couldn't pull the view back. I could see the zoom was 'trying' to work because it would move a tiny amount and spring back.

Solution: Go into controls and remap the zoom to a different control. In my case I moved it from the mouse wheel to a HOTAS wheel. Then the zoom started working so I could pull it back from it's weird new position, at which point the mouse pointer appeared again. The give away was the local system screen where the mouse was flickering in and out of existence constantly so I could see a problem with the viewing frustrum.
