Anyone else unable to get out of the ship in the tutorial?

The step in the tutorial where the guy is like "get out and explore a bit" is broken. it says to use [3] to exit but the deploy button is just a gray box. I wanted to play through to learn the new controls and get a feel for it with the missions but I guess that's not happening. Am I doing it wrong?

Had the same problem... Second time I played it worked as it should

same here... i'll try replaying as well

and the cardboard cutout holodisplay's really really annoying <sigh>

I had the same problem. I've had to restart from the last checkpoint 3 times now (the first time, the Cobra Mk IV dropship did not show up at all).

I suspect that the issue was caused by the game not being able to connect to the servers. Looks OK now.

That's good news. So it worked when you replayed it from the beginning? I quit the game the first time and went through only the worst part of the tutorial, just sitting shotgun, and it was still greyed out. I'll try restarting the whole thing.

That makes sense. I didn't think about the server aspect of it affecting the tutorial but that could be it for sure.

As always the captain is last to leave the ship. Everyone was gone and after being on my butt for the last 4 to 5 years apparently I've got a bit of atrophy n both my legs. Because Frontier was in such a hurry to get player outside quickly, none of the stairs are ADA compliant. Needless to say, I slipped and now I can't get up.
