Anyone else using a Saitek x52 stick on Windows 10 x64? What is SaiMfd.exe and why does it take so much CPU? Not only is it taking tones of CPU power it's also making my CPU temperature rise by 20 degree Celsius...

Anyone else using a Saitek x52 on Windows 10 x64? There's this thing called "SaiMfd.exe" that keeps randomly popping up in task manager and I don't know what it's for. When it's up I've noticed that it's taking tones of CPU resources and also making my CPU temperature rise by 20 degree Celsius. I've once let it run untouched for about 24 hours and my CPU temperature was at 76 Degree Celcius, that's crazy. As soon as I closed it from task manager my CPU temperature went back in the low 38-40.

At first I didn't know it was related to Saiktek until I found where it was. It's located inside the installation folder for the drivers at "C:\Program Files\SmartTechnology\Software\SaiMfd.exe".

What is that .exe? What does it do exactly? Any computer expert knows?

How come it is taking so much CPU resources? Screen Example From Process Hacker
CPU Temperature without "SaiMfd.exe" running in the background : 40 Degree Celcius
CPU Temperature with "SaiMfd.exe" running in the background : 60 Degree Celcius

I did tried to uninstall the drivers and re-install them but I keep having the same issue with it and I don't think this is normal for something like this to take up so much CPU resources.
I know it's a long shot but anyone else here noticed the same thing with their Saitek driver or might know what to do? Like I said I did tried to install/uninstall the drivers a bunch of times already. I've followed 2-3 different online tutorial to completely wipe the drivers and do a clean install but it didn't worked.

X52 Pro Win10 x64 user here. It's the driver for the multifunction display (hence SaiMFD). No idea why it would be using so much CPU & generating heat, but if disabling the process doesn't affect how you use the stick, then go nuts.

Do not use the "software" package, you don't need it for any game with half-decent joystick support, and it's a piece of pure garbage. Unplug your stick, uninstall it, reboot, and just use the stick "raw".
