I do not have a rx480 but the card is very similar in performance to a GTX 970. As a GTX 980 (non-ti) is the recommended VR spec for Elite, the Rx 480 will not be running elite in VR at anything over 1.0x SS without dropping to low frame rates (certainly under 90fps and likely below 45fps in many situations).
I have used both a GTX 970 and a 980ti with oculus dk2 and cv1. And a radeon 7970 with dk1 and dk2.
