Engineers Anyone got the Liz Ryder invitation yet?

I have been working on my reputation with the Eurydia Blue Mafia today and have just reached friendly. With how the mission board updates no longer every 5 minutes, I can't really tell whether I just need to wait until whenever* the next mission board update tick happens, or whether you need to be all the way up to allied.

*Does anyone know in what interval the mission board updates now?

I got the mission the second time the mission board refreshed after I reached cordial.

Now I'm trying to find somewhere to acquire landmines in order to fulfil the initial contract.

Edit: Grothendieck Penal Colony in Capo has loads and is pretty close.

Mephane, I was allied in all three powers as I did the three missions it took to be beyond 'neutral' with the Engineer faction. The fourth mission was a trek but gave the data and invite. You just need to get cordial. We drink Iron Brew where I'm from. Best wishes man. john

Thanks everyone. :)

Edit: Okay, no luck so far. I still have no idea when the mission board updates and generates new missions, other than that it is no longer the old 5 minutes.

Edit2: After an hour of sitting there, changing modes (game still has different mission board between solo and open), I saw maybe 2 refreshes, no invitation. I'll give up for now and write a bug report.

The Mafia is present on all stations in the system. Instead of mode-switching, try station hopping. Worked for me and was way more fun. I got the invitation first thing after I wiped my save.

Now I'm faced with the problem how to ship 200 landmines in a Sidewinder xD

Try finding the dratted things first. The nearest station that was supposed to sell them had a supply of... 4. I guess everyone is buying them.

So... after waiting on the station in hope to get the invitation, I will have to go to another station and wait to slowly fill a Python with land mines, at 4 per refresh interval? Heck, I don't even want any of the upgrades from Liz Ryder, I need her to access several higher engineers that are locked behind her.

Just had the same dilemma and spent hours trying to find a good location to find landmines. I probably should have asked sooner. Here is your answer https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=256091 If you have the room you can get all 200 at once.

I was having difficulty getting the mission to pop, leaving the system on a shadow delivery did the trick for me - not sure if it was leaving and returning the system or doing something a bit risky for the mafia but that's what worked for me. - Now three trips for landmines in my Asp :)

I have this problem also. Did everything you guys said. Ill try to get allied with the faction today, see if that works.

If it helps, I got the invite from the station "Chris and Silvia's Paradise Hideout" in Eurybia. The invite wasn't available on the surface port.

I have yet to receive my invite. I've started having a hard time turning in missions at that station, too. I have 3 surface missions I've completed, but no "turn in mission" entry appears on the board.

I was stuck in the same "loop", being Cordial but not getting the mission. Took a mission from "Chris and Silvia's..." to "Awyra Flirble" (ie. one station to the other in the system), and that cleared it immediately for me. Not sure if the mission, or just jumping from station to station, cleared it, but it did.
Tomorrow will be Landmine-day :)

Mission popped at Chris and Silvia's Paradise Hideout for me too (in addition to the jump out and back I mentioned earlier in the thread) and yes landmines can be a bit of a wait. First trip my entire Asp cargo hold (88t) then second and third trip picked up 21t every 10 mins, then after a while 12t, then 7t - I'd try further away in a one-run deal if I was doing it again.
