Anyone have some space-windshield anti-frost handy?

The Anti-Xeno build (with 1,000 tons of cargo capacity for the Meta Alloys "8 billion credit stake") of the Panther Clipper Mk2 "Swarm Bane" has passed space trials with flying colors. Except, anyone have some anti-freeze handy for windshields? (They really over-did it with the canopy frost.) :D

As a reminder I will be livestreaming that fight this coming Saturday at noon PT / 3pm ET / 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET at the link below.

The convergence of the bottom 2m2s gauss cannons is excellent. The quad-flak murders even Hydra swarms in as few as three volleys. The twin LRTV beam turrets keep the ship (very) frosty while scooting around during kiting phases on 0.5 SYS - 4 ENG - 1.5 WEP configuration.

[Honestly I feel I could do it sooner given how well space trials went ... but with 8 billion credits at stake, I'll get a bit more time in the saddle before I roll with this do-or-die exercise, with what is effectively a combat megahauler loaded done with Thargoid Bait (they love to gobble up Meta-Alloys, and will even summon Cyclops friends if you feed them 5 of them).]

I know one, it’s that ball of plasma just above your head. (Really though, sometimes it’s a bit silly for the canopy to freeze over when you’re that close to an object which emits thousands of K of heat)

… and they really did overdo it a little with that freeze. Could’ve at least left a full opening at the center than to create weird window art that ends up looking a bit… mh… strange.

Will of course give the fight itself a look too. If not when it airs (I’d likely not be around) then afterward.

To bad you can't draw a smiley face in the frost. :)
Cool review. (pun lol) I have to learn AX combat, the weapons, the tactics, and the jargon.

Thank you, I saved that to my watch later list. I'm way too excited to wrap up here and go get one of very own! I might name it Clouseau or just plain Inspector lol 😄

This harkens back to the old discussion that questions why we have windows into the vacuum of space in the first place. With holographic displays, we can should be able to see the outside Universe in 3D holographic projects from the safety of the middle of the ship.

When i was flying around last night i thought of your post, Cmdr Mechan. I think they forgot to install those wires in front of the dash to the defroster. They sure are large enough to carry enough power to defrost the windshield, cook your lunch, run the coffee pot, and weld a steel girder.

Man that ship is fun, and I agree, i think you could really tool that ship up for combat. That's gonna be my next build i think. Then onto learning AX combat and building ships for that.

Never underestimate human irrationality and its ability to insist on design features that would be considered impractical.

Plus, maybe people just want to look outside instead of always staring at a space-madness inducing metal box.

Upcoming CG: Deliver power generators and tungsten to the Ford Motor Company at Shenve for the release of the „Quickclear 3311“ as a 0Q utility.

So that they can shoot stuff with fixed weapons the way their fur wearing ancestors did from their Sopwith Camels using a bit of bent wire and some string for sights.
