Newcomer / Intro Anyone having lag issues in Odyssey?

Greetings,

It started many hours ago with the message Frontier servers not available. When they came up things started getting
slow. Any FSD, supercruise, hyperspace jump is slow to transition. Coming out of supercruise to normal space at an
orbiting station took 45 seconds! Usually about 5 or less. Hyperspace jump time seems to have tripled.

Launching an SLF doesn't complete and locks up the process. Exiting to the main menu won't work as the game is still
trying to launch the fighter. I had to use Windows Task Manager to quit the client.

Then launching the game again started to get slow even a delay after hitting ESC to avoid the Thargoid War video.
Once I get to where I'm going and if the SLF launches everything works fine. Lots of Thargoids to meet 'n greet, a
whole lotta' of shootin' going on, plenty of FPS and no lags while we and my SLF pilot see who wins the fight. Using
The FSD to get back to repair and replenish at a station then lots of lag time.

On the PC side I checked a few basics as the CPU and graphics card are running cool and the memory is working with a
lot more than the game uses. On the internet side using Speedtest which is excellent by the way I get a whopping 370
mbps download but only 11.6 mbps upload. In the past that was more around 23 mbps. I'll have to ask my ISP about that
and meanwhile don't know how much upload Frontier wants.

So anyone else having lag issues today?

Yes, it's been running like garbage all day for me. Must be a Monday.

Well it is a couple of hours since I last played but I had no issues while travelling round several engineers bases, this was in Mobius, no SLFs, no shooting, no other players that I saw.

Had just earlier watched the Strictly results show so a typical Sunday night.

I had issues earlier so stopped playing, the lag was dreadful doing anything, hyperspace jumps, disembarking ship or SRV and returning to SRV or ship, opening galaxy or sys map, even jumping to SC had a delay. Horrible.

Came back a few hours later and everything was back to normal.

Timeline - Dreadful lag about 5 hours ago. No lag about 2 hours ago.

Starting up Odyssey a few minutes ago everything is working great using the FSD, using the FSS to find Thargoids to kill, launching a SLF then coming home to an orbiting station. So with Frontier starting a war with the Thargoids we still have to do with lag times on the Frontier servers while these pilots go into harms way winning the moment before the next Thursday reset? Welcome to Odyssey with Frontier server lag times.
