Anyone having problems with the SRV's Wavescanner

Im way out in the bl;ack & need to replenish my Jump Injections
when i land in my ship & get into the SRV the wave scanner shows outcrops & the like but if i quit out & reload in the srv there is nothing appearing on the wave scanner no matter how far i drive or if i drive in a circle to see if anything popsup behind me as it used to
anyone else getting this or am i just unlucky

Resetting the instance wipes the previously generated meteorites and outcrops. You have to wait a little while for new ones to be available to you - I hang about a bit but then drive off to move my "detection range" (sort of thing) to pick up signals if none have emerged already.

Odyssey seems to be more sparsely populated with these things though. ¯\(ツ)/¯

Yes Odyssey is far too sparsely populated with outcrops & alike use to have way more fun collecting materials when hoizon was the only addon
my work around at the moment is to recall my ship & fly along the ground for a short distance then land again seems to force some to appear

Same, it's always the same place, it's just that the ground objects like meteorites and outcrops aren't spawned the same time as the SRV and player. Sometimes they won't spawn in for a number of minutes so you have to be patient and wait until you start getting signals.
