If it's included, it will probably look somewhat underwhelming, like the other contact binaries in ED: just two normally looking stars in close vicinity.

i think i read somewhere that they are placeholders and that they indeed will model stars devouring each other. but i am not sure.
i do hope they will though.

Possible, but almost for sure not before the game has officially launched.
