Anyone here have Prescription inserts for Oculus Rift from VROptician in Germany?

I have played over 1000 hours in ED (99% of which is pure bliss, why must I gripe about the 1%, I'm crazy) and always tolerated the slight blurriness in my right eye.

I heard asbout inserts and small glasses helping in VR, but my prescription is not strong, and being for distance I thought they would not help when what you are looking at is right there in your face.

I was so wrong.

II stuffed a pair of glasses in my Oculus Rift headset and put it one and was blown away, I could not believe the difference.

But, I could not have my glasses forced in there any longer, nor have all that weight on the bridge of my nose, lol.

A friend on the ED forums in Steam recommended the VR Optician lenses he has in his Vive.

I checked them and others out and ordered from where he recommended, they came highly recommended everywhere I checked and more so than other brands.

So I am eagerly awaiting them.

I wish I could just go and pick them up, I have been to Germany 5 times and love it there.

And I love German craftsmanship.

Although a couple of the trips were to Landstuhl Regency Medical Center at Ramstein aboard a C 130 after injuring my neck, so those two trips were centered around the hospital, lol.

I hope to be blown away, and I think it will be nice to not have to put glasses on or off.

Thank you.

Here's a guy saying you might need a better adapter once you get the lenses:

I just bought a pair of plus 2 glasses for £10, broke off the arms and put them inside my Vive.
Works perfectly.

I thought about that butmmy glasses actually made contact with the VR lense and scared me, they are much to expensive to ever risk a scratch.

Those are a different brand, I will post them both, the brasnd those are made for have a slightly different name brand.

Bu they are inferior lenses with mounts that do not work well and allow movement of the lense.

This is the brand I ordered, highly recommended all over.

Notice VR Optician - originally VR Lens, and the other brand, which are the ones in your post are from VR Lens-Lab

Notice the cup style mounting.

The other brand, not recommended near as much, the lense mounting moves around, so you need to order a frame made by a guy on a 3D printer, notice how similar the names are.

Video of the 3D printed frames, notice how you have to pop the lenses out of mounts you have already paid for because they do not work well, and put them in mounts you have to pay for to be able to use them effectively.

I avoided the extra time and hassle by buying the recommended lenses right off the bat in the cup style mount that go right on and do not move.

I've been using a pair of the Widmo ones for almost exactly a year now. Very good and highly recommended for the Rift if you're a glasses wearer. Also has the added benefit of being an extra layer of protection in front of your Rift lenses, as most of the fog, dust and smears etc end up on the lens inserts rather than the Rift lenses themselves, and they're really easy to pop out and clean.
