Elite / Frontier Anyone here who achieved all three highest ranks (admiral, prince, ELITE)?

Anyone? I've never meet a person who did. If we have such a hero here; how long did it take?
I've only reached Elite, the other rankings require some serious devotion to duty to achieve.

I put up a page ages ago on my website here discussing how long it would take to reach the highest ranks in the Federation and Empire. We are talking a long time :(

If you'd rather work for the Empire then this is where you need to be, the region right at the centre of the Imperial systems. I call this area the Imperial Triangle, as you can gain ranking points extremely quickly by flying from Facece to Vequess, then Vequess to Sohoa and finally from Sohoa back to Facece, picking up missions as you go.
Again, make sure you know what your ship is capable of and that you'll be able to complete all the missions you take on before the deadline. If in doubt, do a test run between the systems and make a note of how long your particular ship takes.
I did actually figure that little gem out all by myself :D
I was quite proud of it too :D
Now I read that someone else knew of it as well :(
This means i've now got to find a new little gem that no-one else knows of.

Yep done that one myself many times.

Made Elite once :D

I think it would be much easier to make Prince than Admiral. The Facece-Vequess run is great, and IME there isn't a Federation milk run that is comparable. Which is a good thing!

You can also earn immense amounts of cash trading slaves and narcotics on that run alongside the military missions.

Steve, looking at your website, are the models on the homepage updated? From the Russian mod I presume? Or just me going quietly senile?
It's a great resource anyway :D

Its probably the best run for profit and rankings especially when you get a military drove and can include Sohola in it as well.

I can't comment on your mental faculties  but yes, I did update the models on the home page a while ago.

Originally I wanted to have a model from each "era" of Elite eg. a wireframe BBC Cobra, a solid ship from ArcElite and so on, but the simpler models just looked rubbish next to the newer ones. In the end I decided to use a selection of the lovely ships being designed for FFED3D :)

It's a great resource anyway :D
Thanks!

@Alien: you'll get a lot of that on my site. Not particularly original, but there if you need it :p

I reached Deadly in the first Elite game I ever played, on my Amiga, way back. But never got close with Frontier, and only reached Competent in FFED3D, (which I've now uninstalled because something went wrong with the 1.12 patch, and even when I went back to the original install it still wasn't working properly! :( )

All I can remember is that it took a BL**DY long time, and when I actually made it It was more of a "thank god for that" moment. more than "I DID IT"

It's years since I made Elite in FFE, but I still remember running round the house waving my arms
