Anyone interested in this? (Yaw VR pro)

I need to know a bit more, however i am pretty confident i will pick one up.

https://www.yawvr.com/online-store

will be a toss up for me between the special edition and the pro.

more info and lots of vids at the bottom of this page inc a few with Elite Dangerous.

https://www.yawvr.com/

seems very affordable for what it offers.

however i am wondering how it will go with the sensors when spinning around. 1 video shows the sensor mounted on the yaw machine itself and this makes sense to me to work properly however if we mount it where it is on the video, then steering wheel for car game would not have a mount.

also HOTAS works best with stick on right and throttle on left, centrally mounted stick does not feel good to me, so i would need an extra side mounting unit.

thoughts guys? anyone tried a development on out?

I like how it says "Not impressive from the outside"... Yeah. It looks like it would be a pain to get in and out of and it needs dedicated HOTAS mounts and pedal mounts. It's interesting, but I just can't see getting one for me. Looks uncomfortable to sit in. The other question would be durability, just no data for that.

Just made the mistake of opening your link Mike and going on the website while sat next to the Missus and she said 'Your NOT having that'!!

But agree with piper, that for ED, it would need Hotas mounts x2, and possibly keyboard/mouse mounts too! I can't do without the keyboard and Mouse whilst in the rift!

$2000 from what looks like a pair of garish Ikea pillows, in two bowls with some really cheap motors.

I'd rather spend $4k buying tools, kit and learning to DIY my own like Kev B.

More interested in the feelthree, that's a litte bigger and less likely to get past an SO.

Seems to have a fair amount of deflection.

Is it just me or do the Elite demos look like a VERY old version of Elite? I'm guessing that's due to not being able to get telemetry from the latest release, as I understand folks have hacked that together by reading memory locations since Elite doesn't expose the data. I have a 3DOF setup and can only use "stick tracking" for Elite (which I just skip, got mine for racing sims anyway)
