anyone know a decent station where I can fix my ship?

I've been across the bubble. I use advanced maintenance at all the stations I stop at. I repair everything to 100% except the paint.
Yet every time I glide down to a planet I get this annoying rattle. I'm pretty sure it's not just the useless guys at lakon.
Is there a specific engineer that does gaffer tape and bubble gum?

There was a service bulletin from Lakon on this. It appears there was a batch of hull plates that weren't properly hardened and made it thru the testing process.

The fix was to heat treat the entire hull by making at least 10 consecutive passes as close as possible to the exclusion/dropout zone of neutron stars, the hotter the better, and while keeping the ship in the "cones".

It's best finished off with a white dwarf cone boost, according to an engineer report, from Dr I P Freely, Lakon's chief part-picker.

I heard that if you store all the modules, sell the hull, then rebuy the hull and reinstall your modules, boom, gremlin's gone.

Buy the hull again from a dealer with a 20% discount and save some credits.
