frontier support https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us answer all support tickets they receive firstly almost instantly by an automatic e mail response (as a way of saying we got your request hang on) followed by a tailored e mail numbered ticket response...………….
avg wait time is stated at 72hrs atm as seen in das link
as for the bug reporting forum https://issues.frontierstore.net/ you will get updates on bug fixes etc therein, but the above is the only way to get a personnel response methinks...…….

Support is killing me I've had the same issue since June and they did a fire and forget. Now I'm stuck and can't get into combat for fear of losing all my exploration data. Data I need to use to prove I've Jumped the distance to unlock the Engineers that will not unlock. The dosn't lookk to be a way to email them about an issue. I've have two tickets I opened early Sept and they haven't been looked at. That was a Month ago. I'm about ready to find something else to occupy my time. And if I do that, it will NOT be the paid expansion EVER...

A CMDR's maximum distance from their starting point is displayed in the RH HUD > Codex > Stats > Exploration as "Max Distance From Start".
Not sure how exploration data would prove anything different in this case.

I concur. With one exception. Once you recieve the mission requirement to jump 5000 Ly to unlock Pailn and Sedesi a new counter pops up on the individual Enginners. Sorry about spelling using phone and don't have my readers... Currently both of mine are stuck at 1850 of 5000. Have been since June. I have since jumped out to the Caliey Nueb. and back then out the res harvest, then did the last CE circut twice a day each day. Still stuck at 1850. CMDR Apollo (Tech Support) in the June email recommened I hold the data...

Just a quick point. If you raised a "bug report" ticket then you a) don't get a confirmation email b) cannot see that ticket c) never get any feedback.
So if you have not received a confirmation email and cannot view your tickets then you either raised a bug report or the ticket didn't get actually raised (usually a captcha failure).
One other point - the whole support website has been reworked - I cannot view my old tickets for example - maybe your ticket(s) fell through the crack of the reorganisation.
EDIT - I see you made a post while I was typing saying you had heard from them - hopefully you will get sorted now the support site change seems complete.

You know it's maximum distance from start, not distance travelled? None of those places you mention (assuming you mean California Nebula & Crystal Shard sites) are 5k from your start point, and neither was the CG ...

I don't believe the counter in the engineers has ever worked (separate issue). If the distance in the codex is >5000, it works.
Thanks guys! At least you've given me a thread to pull at. Especially the distance travlled vs. from start. Guess it's time to pull DBX Pathfinder out of mothballs and head into the black. Any recommendations for a sighting direction? And no. Not going to use a Carrier. What to do it old school... Guess I like trama!
The counter in the mission does not update.
The requirement is to travel 5000LY from the point where your commander started his career. When you achieve that, you will instantly receive an email from the prof. How he knows you did it is, well, spooky, and how intergalactic wi-fi works in a star system where nobody has supposedly been before does my head in. But the email does arrive.
You can check your max distance form start by viewing your commander stats in the codex (it's under exploration, I think).
I presume that you have already reached a level of reputation with Marco Quent, that he told you about the Prof (and Chloe)? Without that you will not receive the invitations

I am probably wrong but I see no reason if the above is true that data and communications could not effectively be teleported from particle a to particle b

if the above is true then palin is using ping particles tagged to your ship gotta be!
it is strange to think that if you jump up an down this will eventually effect the most distant star in the most distant galaxy in a tiny way

One of the largest stars in the galaxy.
I honestly went here just to see stars while my son was watching, there was something near by that star as well, so i went there, and i unlocked an engineer.
