Anyone know if Maelstrom has been found yet?

I keep getting this mission but because I keep reading that it's bugged I ignore it . . . but am itching to progress with the Feds

1.03 fixed it I think, mine is no longer telling me to look for Maelstrom. My target is now one. "GEN. ABE"

It is fixed.. It'll be Gen. Randomnamehere. It's a Federal Drop ship.. You'll get a Permit after you beat it and turn the mission in for Beta Hydri.. You're next rank mission will be there.
