Anyone planning to help newbies on December 16?

I for one will try and stay in starter systems and docks and try to help out

Everything to support the game :D

Do you mean help out, or amusing yourself watching them try to use spacestation walls as a trampolines :)

Yeah, it would be nice if we could all help them jump in lightly. I imagine they will be mostly shooting you on sight though until they figure out whats going on.

I might stick around and help...or maybe just point and laugh as they crash into the station over and over again.

:D

EDIT: Ninjad! :D

I actually will genuinely help the polite ones. I got a lot of help in the verse from random CMDRS and appreciated that. So I will pay it forward.

Well, I'd be happy to help, though I suspect it might involve getting shot at. Lol.
Question is: can I stand being the cause of a lot of whine threads if I shoot back ? ;)

Shooting back non-fatally, to give them a warning I find very effective. If they continue regardless then, well, that's natural selection; they selected to die.

I will be collecting the accidental bounties they pick up.

Docking Violations
Accidentally shooting Feds in resource extraction sites
Shooting unscanned wanted NPCs
Carrying illegal cargo
etc.

I think there may be a little more gameplay in following or buzzing those who have picked up accidental bounties - wait for them to panic & start the shooting = higher bounty. ;)

I will always help the younglings. There are going to be many "new" players as in those new to the genr..Cult
A short polite word from a more experienced commander can save them hours of frustration and make their time playing a lot better leading to more 'meat' for the other bloodthirtsy CMDR;s out there :)
And then i will laugh
Alot

There will be the inevitable influx of new players who get frustrated when they completely ignore the tutorials and crash their ship while docking. All we can do is help them to adjust to a game that doesn't hold your hand, and above all not point and laugh, call them noobs or any other disparaging remarks.

I really don't see there being a lot more people that are interested in the game other than the ones already playing.

If anyone sends me a message asking a question, I'll answer the best I can. Other than that, I don't really see how I could help new players.

It surprising how many people wait until launch before they buy. By the end of the 16th I think there will be easily more than double what we have today.

I think most people wait.

Most people thought I was crazy to pay to be a beta tester. Most of the people I know are waiting till launch.

And some may not have even heard of it. When was the last time any of you saw and advert for it that wasn't on a website?

My general rule will be to watch their signatures loop at least 5 times around a station before I offer my assistance.
