As for decent monitors, I'm a massive fanboy of ASUS and Samsung monitors, so anything outside of it i'm not too akin to.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824022246 this monitor is a 4k monitor with FreeSync, 60hz, 28 inch.
Also, if you're using nVidia (not so sure about ATI/AMD), make sure the output dynamic range is set to Full (0-255) rather limited (16-255). You'll notice a larger color profile with the monitors. Things pop out with that set at that.

Is that option only available when using an HDMI Cable? I connect via DVI and it is not there :

Just googled and yes it is only valid for HDMI .....
