Weetobix Nov 30, 2014 #1 I'm just about to get a new monitor and have a single nvidia 970gtx card. I was wondering if anyone has the same setup and if it can cope with 4k at a decent framerate?

SpionKop Nov 30, 2014 #2 Just use nvidias DSR and run Elite at 4k... the fps you get will answer your question. I have a GTX Titan and run at 4k on my 21:9 monitor no problem with DSR.

Weetobix Nov 30, 2014 #3 I tried that, put the DSR mode to 4x and set the resolution to 4k, but the FPS maxes out and stays constant at 30fps =/

kile K Nov 30, 2014 #4 I'm curious about this too. I want to to upgrade my GTX 750 Ti with either a 970 or 980. Which one it will be depends on the 4K framerate.

Weetobix Dec 3, 2014 #6 I went with a 27" Dell 1440p monitor in the end as it had better colour reproduction (I'm a pro photographer) Happy to report ED still runs at 60fps
