Anyone running this on the Wacom Cintiq Companion

I have had my beta premium for many months now and should have asked this earlier....but I lost my gaming computer (died) and only have my Cintq Companion running win 8.1x.

It has intel core i7-3517U cpu @ 1.90GHz 2.40GHz
8 GB ram
Intel HD Graphics 4000

I know I might have to get another computer at some time but want to know if these specs will at least get me by at a minimum level.

Also I ordered the Thrustmaster T16000 joystick...will that suffice? Would love a warthog but am left handed and on a fixed income.

Also is there a guide or manual at this point or is it just dive in an learn by trial and error?

Thanks for any feedback on my query here.

I'm not too sure about the spec, others here know more than me. My guess would be the graphics will be your weak point.

That joystick is used by a fair few so it should do you well. It's almost worth setting up the sinster joystick users thread to help out the lefties among us.

There's no guide or manual, so just mess about and see how it goes. Here are the in-game screens if it helps at all:

Otherwise, you should trawl around on here for hints and tips. Safe flying, Commander.

Thanks Yaffle...

At least I might then be able to run this. Thanks for the post of the screenshots...that will be a great help to start with.

Yes...us lefties....sinister...hehe...

Thanks again.

Hi there Michael,

I'm running the alpha 1.1 for betas on an i3 laptop with the same HD4000 graphics. It runs just about ok (obviously not ideal), the only slowdown so far was when getting close to the Anaconda.

Turn down all the settings and you'll be ok until you get a more suitable machine.

Thanks Rog...I hope to get a few moments to run the game tonight. I don't have a clue as to the mechanics...but it at least looks like a nice aesthetic environment and should be fun to learn.

Thanks for taking the time to post. Sure appreciate that.

Well I did get to play tonight. Had to use just the keyboard and mouse. I just shot the trashcans and barely moved faster than 10mph or whatever the unit is. This will take a while. I don't have a numpad on this Wacom but never had to use them yet...so not sure some of the keys will work and will have to learn to remap keys. Mostly just the A D and W S keys and the mouse.

I have the T16000 on order.

But I had fun...guess that is the bottom line. Will see if I can shoot cans tomorrow at 20 mph....!

I still don't know what the UI focus is...but I cannot seem to get any of those UI keys to do anything. I have quite a learning curve in front of me.

I will head to you tube to see if any introductory videos are posted with some of the basics.
