Anyone successfully made it into Polaris?

I took the trip hoping there would be something in the surrounding systems to allow for a permit into Polaris.
Searched for a starport for reputation or an USS with a permit (long shot i know).. but only found sidewinders vipers, and eagles trying to pirate me (in every system around), so I killed some of them maybe hoping they would drop me a "key", but no luck there either.

So I guess there is no game mechanic buildt yet for earning a permit to Polaris?

What's so special about Polaris (other than it being the north star)?

Or do we not know, and that's why you want to go there?
