Anyone thinks we might do a full Cainozoic focused park in JWE3?

This is wishful thinking, but if JWE3 is the game they would bring more Cenozoic creatures, this would be perfect if there is a Chaos Theory game mode where you could build a fully functioning park with just Cenozoic creatures.

What gets me excited on the prospect is that this could be set up as a "what if" scenario where John Hammond does not get the funding needed to build Jurassic Park, so instead of earning the funding from investors with a miniature elephant, he would instead start from scratch and bring back more recently extinct animals like the dodo, quagga, Sabertooth, Mammoth, Paraceratherium etc, and earn the funding from the public.

Once the park has reached a target population of extinct animals with a high enough park appeal and profit, the game would instruct the player to research, attain the D.N.A., and incubate the very first dinosaur: Triceratops. This not only bridges this game scenario to the start of Jurassic Park, but it would be such a fun juxtaposition to see the very familiar triceratops being the most stand out animal in a park full of Cenozoic creatures.

Yeah, branching beyond what is currently available, like Paleozoic, Cenozoic and Semi-Aquatic animals seem the next logical step for the franchise... although I kinda doubt they'd go with recently extinct animals like Dodo or Quagga; there's plenty of older animals to choose from...

Oh for sure regarding the selection of Cenozoic animals, I believe if more are to be added, we would get animals like the Giant Ground sloth, Doedicurus, Sabertooth, Woolly rhino and Mammoth.

I brought up the dodo and quagga in particular due to the popularity of the dodo as the poster child of extinction caused by humanity, and the quagga because it is tied in the Jurassic Park and the Lost World Novels as an animal that could be brought back from extinction that I believe lead to the thought of Jurassic Park itself. It is unimpressive as an animal, but would be a nice nod to the novel + shows how odd most Cenozoic animals are in comparison.

Nope, I hope they add things like the big crocodiles, beelzebufo, Titanoboa, Koolasuchus, and everything before the dinosaurs, but mammals, not so much .

They could add some cenozoic species yes, but I think dinosaurs should continue to be the focus of the game as well as the franchise as a whole

Depending on where the movies go, or the shows, that seems to be the barometer giving us a glimpse of things to come. It seems filming has wrapped up in Thailand and there are aquatic scenes being filmed, so who knows how that will be like in the game. Then we have Chaos Theory, and the missing content from Camp Cretacous, so there are many ways the game may be influenced by all this. Most likely, we will get Smilodon and others from the Cenozoic, because in the end, JWE3 has to be substantially different enough to justify there being a JWE3. The differences have to be more than introduction of new species, the game has to be in every possible way, the best version of a JWE game, past and present.

Smilodon is the one guarantee. I'm guessing base game won't have enough for a full zoo based on the jump from JWE1 to JWE2 (maybe 7ish), but should change with DLC.

I could imagine they could add these animals, and hope they could add a hybrid swimming enclosure system similar to Planet Zoo / Zoo tycoon where animals could swim in deep water and the enclosure would allow for guests to see them.

They could add some cenozoic species yes, but I think dinosaurs should continue to be the focus of the game as well as the franchise as a whole

I think with how massive the roster is, if they plan to transition the roster over to the next game, it could very well still be dinosaur focused. I still have some wishlist dinosaurs I hope to see get added, plateosaurus, micro raptor, austroraptor and protoceratops being up there as some I want way more than Cenozoic.

I am very much excited to see what the next movie is going to be about! I think a lot of barriers have been broken with the recent Jurassic World Media, and if JWE2 is a reflection of that, JWE3 may have a more dynamic roster to play with if the next movie will freshen up the franchise further.

The mention of the Whooly mammoth in the CC show makes me hopeful we could see more than the smilodon, but I agree, the Cenozoic roster may not be good enough for a full on park. If it gets close to 10-15 animals, then that would be great for a Cenozoic focused campaign/chaos theory, but I could imagine it reaching 20 after numerous PDLC.

The base game could start with a good mix of Cenozoic species. The Deluxe edition could add one as well. And definitely as the dlc's are released, Cenozoic species could be added.
