A bunch of the guys from Hutton Orbital (and friends) are organising a little event called EliteMeet in Glasgow on the 2nd April. The usual Elite-y kind of stuff will be going on, with Psykokow, Simoof, Snoswell, Flossy, Goose, the notorious CMDR Snuffler (you may remember him from such things as "killing everyone in Alpha") and many others already booked in - the hotel is filling up fast.

There will be an Oculus Rift or two, plenty of gaming and lots of beer/wine/soft drinks available for purchase and chatter.

The team aren't doing it to make money, so whilst there are tickets to buy, it's to cover the costs.

Anyway - anyone coming - there will be goodies given away including Russell Pitcher's excellent stickers, some flight patches and much more.

We understand that there will be a representative or maybe two from Frontier there (cough... Galactic Intern).

Would be good to meet up with a few more of you in person!

I'm not going if Snuffler is there. He's the reason no one plays CQC. I heard that he splits young Cmdrs in two just with a scanner and a basic one at that.

And the Busby hotel has rooms available - from £200+ ... nuh-uh.

Oh well.

I just booked a room with the Ivory Hotel, 3 miles away, so all's well.

I'll drive down from Bathgate, and will check in @ hotel from around 1400hrs, and find my way down to the event. Get a taxi back to said hotel, sleep, and drive home.

Sounds like a plan. ;)

There is still the bungalow at the venue available. It will require coordinating with others but there is space for potentially 7... 1 double room with a spare single in there: 1 twin room, 1 single room, and a pull out bed in the lounge. This will no doubt become the post event party place too. :)

Yeah that sounds just a wee bit too cosy for my liking :)

I'll manage a taxi to the place I just booked ;)

I'd go - if for nothing else than a pint of Caley 80 and a black pudding supper :)

Unfortunately - I'm stuck here in Nowhere Illinois until at least April/May. Have a pint or two for me ;)
